Wilkes-Barre, October 14, 2016 – State Sen. John Yudichak (D-Luzerne/Carbon) issued the following statement after joining Governor Tom Wolf and other state and local officials to announce a $2 million state grant for the Innovation Squared project in downtown Wilkes-Barre:
[frame align=”right”][/frame]“The Wilkes-Barre Innovation Squared project is a collaboration of government, private sector and our institutions of higher education,” Yudichak said.
“We are all working together to leverage the necessary investment that will foster an environment that will not only create new jobs but breed new companies, new technologies and new products that will transform the Pennsylvania economy.”
The grants are administered through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) administered by Gov. Tom Wolf’s Office of Budget.
Also taking part in the announcement was Representative Eddie Day Pashinski (D-121st), Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tony George and Joseph Boylan, vice president Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce.
