Seniors will also find information related to government services, Social Security, health care, insurance, legal issues, fraud protection, financial concerns, and exercise and nutrition information.
“I look forward to our Luzerne County Senior Expo every year, where I’m able to interact with countless seniors to hear what issues they might have or what assistance they might need,” said Yudichak. “The expo is a great place for our seniors to gather a wide array of information on programs and services that are readily available for them. The event also serves as an opportunity for seniors to access information directly from not only state, but local and federal agencies.”
“By having an annual event like this expo, Luzerne County’s senior citizens are able to learn about so many great programs available to them and can speak to representatives from agencies and organizations that understand their needs and have their best interests at heart,” said Baker. “Seniors can conveniently get answers and information in one location.”
“Our Senior Expo is an excellent resource for seniors to learn more about programs and services available to them,” said Kaufer. “What makes this expo so unique is that it features numerous vendors all under one roof, providing senior citizens an added level of convenience. I not only encourage area residents to attend, but also their caregivers.”
“I enjoy getting to talk to so many of our seniors in Luzerne County at this event, and to hear the issues that mean the most to them,” said Mullery. “The event offers the convenience of having a surplus of valuable information in one place where our seniors can be educated on goods and services available to them from federal, state and local agencies.”
The Luzerne County Transportation Authority is offering bus service to the expo from area senior centers and high rise apartment buildings. If seniors are interested in this service, please call 570-288-9356.
