HARRISBURG, October 17, 2012 – - State Sen. John Yudichak (D-Luzerne/Carbon/Monroe) commended former House Speaker Keith McCall (D-Carbon) for his leadership and service to the residents of Carbon County throughout his 28 years in the state legislature at a ceremony honoring former Speaker McCall in Harrisburg.
McCall, who served as House Speaker while Yudichak was a state Representative, had his official speaker portrait unveiled at the Capitol earlier today.
“Keith McCall was an exceptional Speaker of the House and a relentless advocate for the people of Carbon County,” Yudichak said. “It was an honor and privilege to work beside Speaker McCall throughout my 13 years in the House and today’s ceremony is a testament to the great work he did for the people of Northeastern Pennsylvania over his nearly three decades as a legislator.”
Yudichak served as a member of the House representing the 119th District for 13 years prior to being elected as a state Senator in November of 2010.
